An Interview from empress_miyu

1.Do you write in a journal, real life one, not LJ?

I do.   When I'm extremely upset or need to talk myself out of feeling a certain way, I'll grab one of my (many, many) journals and just write, write, write.  It's a calming experience, and it really helps.  I've kept paper journals since I was 12... it's funny to read what I wrote all those years ago and to see all the silly things that were "oh so important" to me at the time.

For some reason, my family always gets me journals as presents.  It's their default action when it comes to birthdays and such!  It's actually come to a point where I have to say "No journals! I have enough!"  Although, I still don't mind getting them.

2. Favorite celebrity as of right now?

Agh! Favorites!  I just cannot choose a favorite anything.   (However, I am really shamelessly into the whole celeb scene.)  But for the sake of this question, I'll say  Ewan McGregor and Anne Hathaway oh and David Beckham and Christina Ricci.   *Disclaimer:  Subject to change at any given moment at the whim of the writer.

3. Favorite movie?

Agh! Agh!  Um..... ummmmmm........I'll say Pride and Prejudice, but I'm a bit tired of it at the moment.  So I'll pick... The King and I... no, Interview with a Vampire... no, The Man in the Iron Mask... no, Big Business... no, What Dreams May Come...

4. Do you like fancy jewelry or do you think money is better spent on other things?

I've a bit of bad luck with jewelry.  I adore it, but I always seem to lose it, or break it, and have a terrible time being careful with it.  (or with things in general.)  Wearing a lot of jewelry makes me feel unnatural.  I'll take a bare neck over a diamond encased one any day...  wait, did I just type that?!

5. If you could live in another time, what would it be?

I'd love to live in the Regency Period and have decorum and propriety and all those other nice things ingrained into me from childhood. Plus the full skirts and the corsets, the hair and the accessories, the balls and afternoon teas... it would be amazing.

Haha, however, since I would have been from the Philippines, I'd be a little island girl running around in a grass skirt and coconut shells.  Hey, that doesn't sound so bad either.

I'd like to interview someone if anyone wants one!  And if anyone else wants to interview me, I'd love that, too. :)

Thanks for answering the questions, my dear.

1. Journaling in real life helps me a lot.
2.I'm not a big celebrity fan, but I do like some of the pretty faces out there. Did you ever watch the Pillow Book Writer with Ewan McG in it?

3.:D I love Big Business.
4.Hee hee. I am obsessed with expensive jewels, while at the same time I'm struggling to have a very non-possessive attitude toward material possessios.
5.I like the REgency Era. Lots of style and nice costumes.

I love that you always have something nice to say, Ben. :)

I haven't seen Pillow Book Writer, is it good?

:) Just tellin' it like it is.

The movie I mentioned is really good, sort of art-filmish, very visually beautiful, pretty interesting story, but(this could be good or bad)it has lots of nudity. So much so that you forget they are nude.

Ooooh nudity... that'll be a hard one to swing with Sean around. I really want to see it now, though!

Lots of nudity. It's a bit of a long movie I think, so I'm not sure you could get it watched during his nap. Totally worth a watch though. It made me want to write a pillow book and inspired me to read the ancient Japanese novel/autobiography "the Pillow Book of Sei Shonagon."

Interview
Ok so I guess the best way to interview you is to just leave the questions here and then you can post them with your answers.

1. If you could live anywhere in the world, EXCEPT somewhere you have already lived, where would it be and why?

2. What is the best part about being you?

3. What job would be your ultimate job?

4. What is one thing that you WANTED to do when you were living in Korea that you didn't do?

5. What is one hobby that you would like to take up if you had more time?

By the way feel free to interview me. I would really like to know what you want to know about me.

Re: Interview
1. If I could live anywhere in the world, except somewhere I have already lived....I'd live in Tokyo. It has everything: the buzz and excitement of a large city, polite Japanese people everywhere, transportation that arrives right on the dot no matter what, and close proximity to all things culturally interesting to (whether it be Asia in general, or just Kyoto, and Mount Fuji and such.)

2. The best part about being me would have to be my killer big toe. For reals.

3. The ultimate job for me would have to be a Mystery Guest person. As a mystery guest, you get to stay in hotels and rate the service and it would all be paid for. HECK YA.

4. The one thing I wanted to do, but didn't was the Temple stay. How cool would it be to wear a toga robe thing, and shave off my head and do prayer/meditation in the morning, sand shaping in the afternoon, and learning Kung Fu at night. Okay, so the Kung Fu thing isn't included, but a girl can dream, can't she?

5. One hobby I'd like to take up if I had more time (and money!) would be scuba diving.

And now for you, Brad.

1. Do you have any regrets? If so, name at least one.

2. Who has been the most influencial person in your life?

3. What are 3 words starting with "O" that describe you?

4. Did you ever get the pictures from Shindoshi and when will I get to see them?

5. Are you content?

Your interview questions
1. Do you have any regrets? If so, name at least one.
Oh tons or regrets: Michelle Villeneaux. When I was in university a beautiful woman named Michelle was flirting with me and I was too stupid to notice it.
I regret every lie I told someone close to me, and that is the truth.
I regret Carrie Chapman. She was my gymnastics coach and I think there was a chance to date her and she was amazing. Again too stupid to have seen the signs.
I regret going to a strip club in first year. Since then I have spent money in those places and by my way of thinking every dollar spent there is one dollar too many.
I think that is enough insight into me for now.

2. Who has been the most influencial person in your life?
Tough to narrow it down to one person.
Father, shows me at times who I do and do NOT want to be.
Marilyn Temple, 7th grade teacher.
Greg Steffler, 6th grade teacher.
There would be something amiss if I didn't mention Jesus Christ but since I haven't met him in the flesh I am not sure if he counts for this question.

3. What are 3 words starting with "O" that describe you?
Organized. Yeah right! Not in a million years!

1. Obese. Yes I said it, I am fat. I am not terribly fat but as long as I make excuses for it or down-play it then I won't continue to take the steps to correct it.
2. Obtuse. Socially dim-witted and dull. I do not read situations or people well and that has cost me big time.
Wow number 3 is a tough one. I would say "organic" but I can't as I have a pin in my knee so I am not 100% nature made anymore.
3. Okay. All things being equal I am okay. I have my health, a good job, money, a roof over my head and the ability to do anything I like within the laws of the country.

4. Did you ever get the pictures from Shindoshi and when will I get to see them?
Yes, I did get them and you will get them this weekend.

5. Are you content?
No. I am not. That is a hard question to answer because it forces me to challenge myself. I have to take a good hard look at myself. I am not content with my relationship. I am not content with my body. I am not content with the way I teach or how effective I am being in the classroom. I am not content with the number of broken promises I have perprutrated that are exclusively my fault. I am not content with the state of my apartment, it is a mess and I do not like it.

I guess the cold and hard answer is "no, I am not content."

Good questions Ro.

Tomorrow I am going to copy the questions from your journal and post them on mine. I think they will be very enlightening too.
Thanks for being my friend Ro.
